July 6 th , 2018 Yesterday night, at Pierrefond castle, the Festival des forêts hosted a summit meeting between two great composers, with very distinct aesthetics: Philippe Hersant and Michaël Levinas. Michaël Levinas interpreted works of Hersant, including le Carillon d’Orléans. The pianists Jean-Luc Fafchamps and Jean-Luc Plouvier played Désinences. One of the joys of this memorable concert was to realize that with very different means, these two works displayed similar sounds and emotions.
